Pole Building Workshops
Create a dedicated space to do the work — and the hobbies — you enjoy.
Custom Pole Barn Shops
Whether you need a little extra space to store your tools or a full-blown workshop with all of the bells and whistles, our custom metal shop buildings get the job done — and then some. Unlike prefab workshops and sheds, Beehive’s pole barn workshops are designed to adapt to your specific shop needs. Our team of experienced pole building contractors will help you create a workshop that is both supremely functional and tailored to the way you like to work.
Beehive Buildings is a pole building company that cares, which means we do everything in our power to get the job done right, on time and on budget, every time, and backed by our 10-year warranty. Like any great craftsman, we pride ourselves in the quality of our work and will go above and beyond to build you the woodworking, welding, mechanical, metal, repair, or automotive workshop you’ve always wanted.
Hobby Buildings
Pole barn workshops don’t have to be all about work. Also known as hobby sheds or “she sheds,” our metal shop buildings can be designed to support your crafts, hobbies, and other creative interests. From model airplanes, trains, and scrapbooking to painting, pottery, and sculpture, our hobby buildings give you a dedicated space to get inspired.

Pole Barn Workshop Design, Materials & Construction
Beehive’s pole barn workshops can be built in a variety of shapes, sizes, and configurations. We are always happy to suggest custom design options; however, the design of your build is ultimately up to you to decide. We offer four general designs that you can customize with your choice of colors, accessories, and exteriors.

We know that when you invest in something, you expect it to last. Quality builds start with quality materials — which is why we only use materials we trust to stand up to the elements for decades to come, including sustainably-sourced Douglas and Hem fir lumber and 100% American-made metal. Over the years, we’ve streamlined our design and construction process, relying on our local knowledge, connections, and experience to provide you with exceptional service and clear communication from start to finish. What's more, we back every build with an industry-leading 10-year contractor warranty.
Pole Barn Workshop FAQs
Unfortunately, there is no simple answer to this question. Because our pole buildings are so adaptable and customizable, there is no standard price to quote. Pole buildings can cost as little as $20,000 or as much as $135,000 (or more). On average, however, most pole buildings fall in the $35,000 to $70,000 range.
Pole buildings are very efficient in terms of construction; however, build timelines are affected by a variety of factors.
One of the biggest advantages to pole buildings is their customizability. There are numerous accessories, such as lean-tos, hay doors, insulation, flying gables, overhangs, lofts, and cupolas, that can add to the design and function of your pole barn.
As for the cost of pole building accessories, the price varies from accessory to accessory (typically charged per square foot or linear foot).
In general, pole buildings require less maintenance than your house and don’t need much in terms of general or long-term upkeep. The simplicity of pole barn builds means it’s easy to keep your building in great condition. There are, however, a few maintenance items you should keep up on to extend the life of your pole building.
