Pole Barn Homes
Open up your living space with a custom pole building home.
Residential Pole Barns
One thing we love about pole buildings is their exceptional adaptability. Once used solely as farm buildings, pole barn houses are a growing trend in the residential sector.
Also known as “barndominiums” or “shomes,” these pole building homes are popping up all over the country in both rural and suburban areas as more and more people are looking for unique, affordable housing options that allow for open floor plans and quick construction. The flexibility of pole buildings allows for nearly unlimited customization at a much lower price point than traditional homes and the simple nature of pole buildings makes the construction process significantly faster than traditional methods.

Like any great craftsman, we pride ourselves on the quality of our work and will go above and beyond to build you the home you’ve always wanted.
While there are a few things to consider before building a pole barn home, their high adaptability, extremely open floor plans, minimal long-term maintenance, quick construction, and considerably lower cost compared to conventional builds make for the perfect home for those looking for a custom living space.

Pole Barn Home FAQs
Because our pole buildings are so adaptable and customizable, there is no standard price for a pole building home. However, the average price range for our part of the building — the warm, lockable shell — generally ranges from $65 to $105 per square foot, plus any site prep. Depending on how you plan to finish the interior and whether you plan on doing any of the work yourself, we recommend estimating another $60 to $110 per square foot.
Pole buildings are very efficient in terms of construction; however, build timelines are affected by a variety of factors.
Yes! While our professional pole building designers and drafters will help you draw up preliminary and engineered plans, their job is to help your vision become a reality. If you’d like to find inspiration or create a virtual pole building design, check out our Idea Gallery or our Virtual Designer.
In general, pole buildings require less maintenance than your house and don’t need much in terms of general or long-term upkeep. The simplicity of pole barn builds means it’s easy to keep your building in great condition. There are, however, a few maintenance items you should keep up on to extend the life of your pole building.
