Dave’s sport court isn’t just a building—it’s a year-round haven for friends, family, and games, built to thrive through long winters, bright summers, and everything in between out West. When he imagined his ideal indoor recreation space, he wanted tall ceilings, plenty of light, and a design that could handle gatherings and fast-paced games alike. That’s how Beehive helped bring his vision to life.
When Dave set out to design his dream space, he knew he wanted more than just a building—he wanted a place where his family and friends could gather, play, and make memories year-round. Beehive Buildings helped him bring that vision to life with a custom sports court designed around what mattered most to him.
At the heart of the space is a full-size indoor pickleball court. The tall ceilings and wide-open layout create the perfect environment for fast-paced games, while rows of large windows flood the space with natural light. Whether it’s a family tournament or a quick solo practice session, the court is ready for action in any season.

But Dave’s building goes beyond just a court; it’s designed as a fully functional extension of his home. Inside, there’s a finished bathroom complete with a shower, making it easy to rinse off after a game—plus a cozy living space perfect for relaxing between matches. Near the main entrance, a mudroom-style storage area offers a practical spot for stashing shoes, gear, and coats, keeping everything organized and ready to go.

The versatility continues outside the main court area. In one of the two lean-tos, Dave has enclosed the space to create a perfect spot for storing his tractor, equipment, and other outdoor essentials—adding even more functionality to the building without taking away from the clean, open feel of the court itself.
Every detail was designed with both style and purpose in mind. The exterior features crisp Arctic White siding, a bold Black roof, and architectural accents like a flying gable and a decorative cupola for a timeless look. Wide overhead doors and double doors make it easy to move between indoor and outdoor spaces, keeping the flow of the building effortless and practical.

“From the very beginning, Beehive was fantastic to work with,” Dave shared. “Their team was very helpful in helping me design the building I wanted rather than selling me something they wanted. I absolutely love my building and would absolutely recommend Beehive!”
Today, Dave’s sport court stands as a true home base for recreation, relaxation, and everything in between—a perfect example of what’s possible when custom design and craftsmanship come together.
